Don't Look Back
The people behind All Tomorrows Parties festival are organizing this thing called 'Don't Look Back' where various bands do a gig where they play their seminal or most popular album, Iggy and the Stooges are playing Funhouse, and The Lemonheads are playing Shame about Ray. This strikes me as a rather bizarre idea, surely it will spoil some of the spontaneity of a live performance, you always know what is coming next. I then thought how ace it would be if the Manics did 'The Holy Bible' which is still one of my favourite ever albums. Given further thought I think it might be like going to see tribute band or an Elvis impersonator (on Blackpool pier perhaps). So what other great gigs could there be...Chris De Burgh doing "Spanish Train and other stories" maybe?

my bloody valentine playing one gig: Loveless in it's entirety, then committing ritual suicide so as not to continually get our hopes up about new material.
That would be better than a thousand Sofia For Coppola movie soundtracks.
Hi Scott! Why's your blog called Wallypegs?
Don't Look Back wise, how about Slint playing Spiderland... hold on a minute, Nick...
Seriously though- Faith No More doing Angel Dust would be v cool.
Guns & Roses (original line-up)doing Appetite for Destruction, surely.
Or Chris de Burgh packing his mouth and throat with C4, and then detonating his head. To the sound of Scott, weeping like a damaged child.
I would like to organise a Don't Look Now festival where all the bands had to dress up as murderous dwarves in red raincoates and try to confuse Donald Sutherland
